Hudson

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 30, 2026

Hudson is built to keep your relationship details private — so the short version is: we don't collect anything, and nothing you put in Hudson ever reaches us.

What changed: Earlier versions of Hudson used sign-in accounts, cloud storage on Google Firebase, and anonymous analytics. None of that exists anymore. Hudson no longer has accounts, servers, or analytics of any kind. This policy describes how the current app works.

What we collect

Nothing. Hudson has no account system, no login, and no server. We don't have a copy of your data and we have no way to read it. Hudson's privacy manifest formally declares that the app collects no data and performs no tracking.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter — dates and reminders, sizes, wishlist items and photos, "little things," streaks and points — is stored locally on your iPhone.

If you use iCloud, Hudson can sync that data across your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). That sync happens entirely within your personal iCloud account, under Apple's privacy terms. Hudson has no server in the middle and no access to what syncs. Some data, like voice drafts and cached photos, stays only on the device you created it on.

Voice and on-device intelligence

The "Talk to Hudson" voice feature uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, and the "ask about your partner" feature uses Apple's on-device intelligence. Both run entirely on your iPhone. No audio, transcript, or prompt is sent to Hudson or any third party. These features require an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 or later); without it, the rest of the app works normally.

Permissions

Hudson asks for a few system permissions, only when you use the related feature:

You can change or revoke any of these anytime in iOS Settings.

No third parties, no ads, no tracking

Hudson contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no analytics or crash-reporting services. We don't sell, share, or transmit your data to anyone — there's nothing leaving your device for us to share.

Deleting your data

You're always in control. Delete individual items inside the app, or use the in-app option to erase everything — which removes your data from the device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app also removes its on-device data.

Children

Hudson isn't directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them (we don't collect information from anyone).

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and post the new version here.
